Now this one is a bomb. No matter what transport you choose to get around, always book it online and use promo codes (eg: National car promo codes, Lookupfare promo codes, Priceline coupon codes) This can save you alot.
3. Sign up for cheap-flight newsletter
If you don’t have a specific place in mind to hit, let your inbox decide where you should go on vacation. Just sign up newsletters of some online cheap flight finder, sit back and get alerts about the cheapest flight to different places. Once you feel that you’ve found the cheapest flight ever to a certain destination, pack your bags and have a blast there!
4. Use public transport
No matter where you go, do not hesitate to use public transport. Not only they are super cheap but they get you a nice change to mingle with locals and speak to them.
5. Prefer functional over fancy when hiring a rental car
If you plan to hit the road in a rental car, always prefer a functional car over a fancy one. Remember always that you’re going to seek adventure & sprinkling money from your vacation budget on fancy features in a car can ditch a bunch of adventure from your trip.
Also, fancy cars eat up a lot of fuel, so if even offered a big car as a reward, think twice before getting the keys.
